ISO 13485:2003
As of April 8, 2008, we are certified according to ISO 13485:2003.
SGS DNA now offers state-of-the-art mass spectrometry as an additional means of QC analysis.

Mass determination confirms the correct molecular weight of the manufactured oligonucleotide.

The cGMP compliant and validated method uses Electrospray Ionization Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometry (ESI-TOF MS), performed for all types of oligonucleotides. The mass determination features an accuracy of +/- 3 daltons from the theoretical molecular weight for oligonucleotides up to about 80 nucleotides in length.

Sequence determination confirms that the correct sequence was manufactured.

The sequence of the oligonucleotide is determined by using exonuclease digestion in combination with Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption Ionization Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS). Sequence determination can be performed for unmodified oligonucleotides up to about 45 nucleotides in length.
