Sune Kvist, PhD. Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Kvist has a long and successful background as a researcher at a number of European research centers for example Molecular Biology Laboratory in Heidelberg, Swiss Institute for Experimental Cancer Research in Lausanne and the Ludwig Institute for Cancer research, Karoliska Institute in Stockholm. His primary areas of research were on histocompability/transplantation immunology and DNA synthesis. After have recognized an increasingly need for high quality synthetic DNA, he founded the company in 1990. In 1995 he left his position at the Karolinska institute to a wholehearted engagement in leading the company.
Carin Gillberg. MSc. Chief Operating Officer
Directly after finishing her Master degree in Biotechnology at Uppsala University, Carin joined the company in 2000. She has great knowledge of the company as she during the years has had positions in the synthesis department, the purification department and the Quality Control. These experiences give her an unique overview and understanding of the production process, which are most valuable for her in her position as the Chief Operating Officer.
Petra Fridström. MSc. Quality Assurance Manager
Petra joined the company in 2006. She started as a Quality Engineer and quickly became one key person in the company, and three years later she was promoted to QA Manager. Petra has a Master degree in Molecular biology from the University of Linköping. Petra has a good understanding of our customer and their needs , as she in several positions prior to SGS DNA has been working in the Molecular diagnostic field, for example at the Swedish Criminal Laboratory and Dynamic Code.
Cecilia von Hausswolff HR and Administration Manager
Cecilia has been with SGS DNA since 2006. She has broad experience in the administration area as well as a field of knowledge in economics, marketing, business development and corporate law. With university studies in informatics, communication and behavioural science she is well suited for her assignment at the company.
Gunilla Blomsten, MSc. Marketing and Development Director
Gunilla has been with SGS DNA since 1999. She started as a Laboratory Engineer and this was followed by two different manager positions before her current position as Marketing and Development Director. Gunilla has a Master degree in Chemistry from University of Karlstad and a Bachelor's degree in Business Economics from the University of Gothenburg.
Ali Al-Ameri, MSc. Product and Process Development Manager
Ali joined SGS DNA in 2007. He holds a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering from Karlstad University. Ali is an important member of the QC team as he possesses great knowledge and experience in HPLC technology as well as mass spectrometry. As the Product and Process Development Manager he is also the coordinator and supervisor of all development projects at SGS DNA.
